The grapes are placed in small bins and stacked for hauling to cold storage.
All grapes in the bins are placed in refrigerated reefers and immediately gassed with SO2 gas. They are shipped to the cold storage and then placed in fast pre-cooled rooms for a minimum of 48 hours. They are then placed in refrigerated storage rooms until shipping.
Within 24 hours of shipping the fruit tri-walled, double lined, one way disposable cardboard (Watermelon)bins are formed and are filled with the cold grapes.
